Rabies Resources for the Medical Professional
On October 1, 2009 the North Carolina Rabies Laws were amended by the General Assembly to conform to the current recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians’ Compendium of Animal Rabies Prevention and Control, 2008. The amended laws replace those applicable statutes, that are now antiquated, in the 2007 NC Rabies Manual, which will be revised to reflect those changes. In the interim, please see the following:
